ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is a pesticide and GMO-free alternative for conventional cotton. Pesticides pollute soil and water, killing wildlife and harming communities. By using organic cotton we protect the local environment, biodiversity, the farmer and the workers. All the cotton we use is fully organic and GOTS certified.

LOW WATER IMPACT

This jeans is one of our lowest water impact jeans. The denim fabric of this mom fit hasn’t been dyed in the production process, which saves a lot of water and energy. The fabric carries the beautiful original colour of cotton, no bleaching involved.

VIRIDIS PATCH

This jeans has our new Viridis patch made by Panama Trimmings. These green PU patches are made from 48% corn polyols, 26% cotton and 26% normal PU. This patch makes the jeans vegan and it lowers the impact on workers and environment, compared to the conventional leather patches.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR JEANS

The better you take care of your clothes, the longer they'll last. It's not rocket science, but we like to help you find your way. Caring and repairing your jeans, gives you your money's worth and it is better for the planet as well! So, let's give you our 5 golden rules to make sure your jeans will stay beautiful and last longer.

1.
TURN IT DOWN

Turning down the temperature from 60 to 30 degrees already takes 60% less energy. The fibres in your jeans like it a little more chilly as well. It lets them keep their strength.

2.
INSIDE OUT

Cherish the colour of your jeans by washing them inside out. Also, close the zipper and buttons to prevent unnecessary damage on your jeans or other garments.

3.
KEEP IT TOUGH

Avoid fabric softener. A good denim doesn’t need it and it’s bad for the environment. Besides, fabric softner creates a weaker fibre, reducing the lifetime of your jeans.

4.
HANG IT OUT

Jeans and your tumble dryer are a no go together. Hang them outside and let the wind blow them dry. Take care, the sun will fade your jeans unless you flip them inside out!

5.
SKIP IT

Don’t wash too often. If you wash your jeans more often it will wear out faster. No need to wash it after every wear. Keep in mind, real denim lovers never wash their jeans.

END OF LIFE POSSIBILITIES

Your jeans has kept you warm, it made you look fantastic, maybe you've even repaired it. But once you've totally worn it out or it keeps lying in the back of your closet,  the time has come to break up. But just because you're not enjoying it anymore, doesn't mean that it has lost it's value.

"GIVE YOUR JEANS THE BREAK-UP IT DESERVES"

RETURN TO KUYICHI
(FROM 2021)

We're working on a take-back scheme for our jeans. We hope to launch this in 2021.

So stay tuned and wear your jeans with love in the meantime!

PASS IT FORWARD

Go oldschool and pass your old garments forward to a family member or a friend. It feels good to see other people enjoy your 'old' clothing.

Have you just decluttered your closet? Organise a clothing swap, get together with your loved ones and update your wardrobe without paying a dime.
Sidenote: k
eep it safe for you and think about the Covid-19 measurements

SELL IT FORWARD

Sell it to somebody you don't know! There are a lot of possibilities to sell your old clothing.

Some platforms that we'd recommend are:
- United Wardrobe
- Vinted
- Vestiaire Collective

or any of the (local) platforms we're not that familiar with.

DISPOSE CORRECTLY

Simply put, take it to the textiles bin. Throwing textiles away with your normal garbage makes it close to impossible to recycle or repurpose it.Instead it ends up in landfill or gets burned.

You can consider donating it to a charity or to your local thrift shop if it is still suitable to wear. Even if it is full of holes or completely worn out, dispose it correctly in a textiles bin. For everything can be found a purpose.
