Traditional indigo dyeing is notoriously wasteful, requiring massive amounts of water and energy to achieve the deep, rich blue shade we all know and love. Kitotex® replaces harmful chemicals with fungi

Traditional denim production releases countless microplastic particles into water systems through chemical treatments and washing. Candiani eliminated this pollution by substituting petroleum-based PVA with chitosan, a natural polymer made from fungi. This ingredient acts as a sizing agent, strengthening and smoothing the yarn for better performance. This patented innovation, called Kitotex®, is completely bio-based and biodegradable.But there are even more benefits.
