Innovation by Lenzing: Eco Color technology

TENCEL™ Modal with ‘Eco Color’ technology does not follow the conventional way of dying the yarn. Normally colour is added in yarn, fabric or garment dyeing. But in this case, the coloured pigments are incorporated in the fibre-making process, into the spinning mass solution before the fibre extrusion process, to be specific. This is called a “Spun-dyed” technique. The biggest difference is that the whole fibre structure is coloured before it is spun into a yarn, compared to dyeing yarns, where the deepest colour is mostly on the surface of the yarn. This guarantees long-lasting and durable colours in your garments.
