YOU'VE FOUND YOURSELF A STRONG HEMP JEANS, HOORAY!
Some people might use it to smoke, but we can make clothing from its brother too. Hemp is the strongest natural fibres out there with one of the lowest footprints. It's absorbent and hypoallergenic, but not the softest fibre out there. That is why we blend it with organic cotton, to create a nice skin touch. Let it grow on you, hemp will become softer over time.
NO PESTICIDES NEEDED
Hemp is a fast-growing plant that does not require any pesticides to grow. Hemp is naturally pest resistant, no sicknesses or insects can get him down.
Hemp actually competes with the weeds, that are normally killed by pesticides. Just by growing faster and taller than the others plants, taking away their moment to shine. You could really call hemp 'weed'.
Hemp has even some other added benefits for the nature. It actually helps to capture carbon from the air faster than trees and most other plants. Producing more hemp for clothing could potentially help lower our carbon emissions.
Hemp also grows in low nutrient areas and gives back nutrients to the soil. They're the perfect crop for crop rotation or just for growing it season after season, while enriching the soil.
Because hemp is such a fast grower it uses less land and water compared to other crops and definitely compared to trees. Hemp just needs around 100 days to produce the same amount of fibre that a tree produces in 50 to 100 years. When it is ready to harvest it will be around 6 meters high. These long fibres give the fabric its natural strength. The longer a fibre is, the stronger the yarn will be.
