2025: A year of milestones, partnerships and progress we’re proud to share
Black Friday: No Sale. Real Impact.
Once again, we chose impact over discounts. On Black Friday 2025, we skipped the sales and donated 15% of our earnings to the Sheltersuit Foundation, a cause chosen by you. Together, we helped bring warmth and dignity to people experiencing homelessness through innovative, upcycled shelter garments. Read more
25 years of denim at De Rode Winkel
This year, Kuyichi became the best-selling brand at De Rode Winkel, Europe’s largest denim store. A proud milestone that marks a 25-year partnership between two Utrecht-based companies. It shows that long-term relationships, shared values and great denim are a great combination.
Gender equity in our supply chain
In 2025, we continued our RVO project with Fair Wear to improve wages and gender equity in the garment industry of Türkiye. Together with our partners, we organised gender training at one of our suppliers and conducted a worker survey to uncover workplace issues. Meaningful progress takes collaboration and we’re proud to work with partners committed to real change. Read more
Keeping denim in play
In 2025, we expanded our partnership with MENDED, making it easier to repair your Kuyichi pieces and keep them in use for longer. We also launched the IN PLAY capsule collection: one-of-a-kind designs crafted from reclaimed denim in the Netherlands. Together with MENDED we want to keep your clothing in play, longer. Read more
The denim you loved most
Some styles truly stood out this year. The Lucy Loose, a high-rise barrel jean made from 100% post-consumer recycled cotton, became an instant favourite. Creating quality denim from old textiles was technically impossible not long ago, but together with our mill partner Bossa, we proved it can be done. Others among the bestsellers were the Lisette Flare Super Aged Blue and Scott Regular Basic Blue, made from organic and regenerative cotton and designed to stay in your wardrobe for years.
Zero conventional cotton
In 2025, we stayed true to our no conventional cotton policy. 100% of the cotton in our jeans, pocket linings included, is either organic (85%), regenerative (8%), recycled (4%), in conversion (2%) or deadstock (1%). Every type has a proven lower impact than conventional cotton. Zero conventional, no exceptions.
Building relationships, face to face
None of this happens without strong partnerships. In 2025, our team made 15 visits to 9 suppliers across Turkey, Portugal and Tunisia. Face-to-face time to strengthen relationships, work on quality and innovation, ensure good working conditions and push sustainability forward together.
Ultimately, 2025 leaves us with a sense of gratitude for the progress we’ve made and the people who made it possible. From the materials we choose to the partnerships we build, every step forward is the result of collaboration, commitment and shared values. None of it happens alone. To our suppliers, partners and everyone who chooses to wear Kuyichi: thank you for being part of the journey.
