Ecocellâ„¢ Lyocell: Innovative and Sustainable!

What is Ecocellâ„¢ Lyocell?

Ecocell™ Lyocell is a man-made fibre derived from wood chips. It is produced by KaraFiber, which opened Türkiye’s first Lyocell factory in 2019. KaraFiber emphasises responsible wood sourcing and resource conservation while promoting sustainable and innovative materials. This commitment is reflected in the qualities of Ecocell™ Lyocell. The fibre is strong, soft, and comfortable against the skin. Additionally, it is biodegradable, which contributes to circularity.

Why do we use Ecocellâ„¢ Lyocell?

In our opinion, viscose should be phased out from fashion. Fortunately, plenty of sustainable alternatives exist, such as Tencel™ Lyocell, Tencel™ Modal, and our new choice Ecocell™ Lyocell. The wood used in Ecocell™ Lyocell production comes from sustainably managed forests, certified and protected under FSC or PEFC standards. Moreover, it is produced in Türkiye, where our final products are also made. This keeps the production chain local, reduces transportation needs, and improves efficiency. Finally, Ecocell™ Lyocell is characterised by excellent moisture absorption, breathability, durability, and nice comfort. These qualities make Ecocell™ Lyocell the perfect fibre for our summer jeans!
