Kuyichi participates in Fair Wear's ‘The Academy’ Pilot Project

Why did Fair Wear initiate ‘The Academy’?

Fair Wear’s member brands are industry frontrunners, raising the bar for human rights in their supply chains. In addition to several other national human rights due diligence (HRDD) legislations currently in place, such as ‘de Wet zorgplicht kinderarbeid’, the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) is on its way. Ahead of this development, Fair Wear aims to guide brands from across the industry on how to implement HRDD in their own supply chains, ensuring that it is done meaningfully and that they, too, can be industry frontrunners.

Kuyichi’s participation in the Fair Wear pilot project

As a Fair Wear member brand, Kuyichi is helping to develop a project that will support Fair Wear with this. The project will provide the wider industry with guidance, learning modules, and access to tools to facilitate brands in their HRDD. By participating in this project, we can do our part to help Fair Wear reach its goal to transform the industry.

Fair Wear Brand Performance Check 2023 for pilot participants

During this pilot year, there will be no annual Fair Wear Brand Performance Check, and we will, therefore, not receive a score or performance benchmarking category for 2023. For now, we’ll stay in the ‘Good’ category as we’ve been scored with during the last Brand Performance Check. For more information on the project, check Fair Wear’s website here.
