How is the organic cotton fabric made?
Once the plant is picked by hand or with a cotton picker machine, the cotton has to be ginned. This is often at a separate location. At the ginner, the cotton goes through a carding process. Carding separates the individual cotton fibres and disentangles and aligns them. The aligned fibres are then spun to make yarn. This yarn is woven into a fabric, after which the fabric can be sewn into your next favourite jeans!
